Movie Review: Sunshine Cleaning

March 30, 2009

sunshine-cleaning

Saw Sunshine Cleaning today.

Definitely recommend it. It’s about two sisters who start their own crime scene cleanup business. Same kind of emotional feel as Little Miss Sunshine (which both feature Alan Arkin). And features the extremely sexy Emily Blunt and Amy Adams (hot ginger alert).

*Side note: saw the movie at 11:45am which is by far the earliest I’ve ever gone to the movies. My friend Kathleen and I were the only ones in the theater which was very strange. I felt like a film critic getting a private screening. I give it TWO THUMBS UP.

Final Four

final-four1

The Final Four is all set.

Villanova vs. North Carolina

Michigan State vs. Connecticut

Did anyone have all four correct in their bracket?

My prediction- UNC vs Uconn in the finals. UNC winning it all. 84-72

Just got back from NYC. Went to see my friend Margie’s new weekly comedy show “Now We’re Talking” at Rodeo Bar.

It was a great lineup. One of the comedians was Anthony Jeselnik, who is one of my favorite comics. He is currently a writer for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. He has a very different style of comedy, in which all of his jokes are extremely cynical. He was hilarious tonight, and I got to talk to him after the show, and he couldn’t have been nicer. He really gave me some excellent advice and inspired me to try some of the jokes on stage that I had been holding back on.

I’ve been doing stand-up for about 3 months now, and I’ve definitely found that some comics are either more than happy to lend advice and suggestions, and some are simply assholes.

Jeselnik=thumbs up.

I highly suggest checking out his material. Here’s one set he did for HBO.

A box of cones from Longfords.

This isn’t very clear.

I could fry, boil, put in a basket with a chocolate bunny, fertilize, race with a spoon, make a Christmas time drink, fill with Cadbury cream, poach, or scatter throughout my back yard and invite the neighborhood children to scavenge for them.

Better directions cones box…better directions…
